How do your programs or services help the community?
The Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter is committed to meeting the needs of persons affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia through family and clinical support, education, advocacy, and research.
Program Descriptions
Caregiver Support Groups: Support groups meet monthly to provide the people who are helping someone suffering from Alzheimer’s an opportunity to share their experiences and receive support from others. There is no cost or commitment to attend.
Education Programs: The Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter offers educational programs for family caregivers, health care professionals, and the community.
Speakers’ Bureau: Volunteers assist in raising community awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease by presenting information to community groups.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s: The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is a national event to help advance research and support for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.
“The Walk” brings together family, friends, caregivers, and concerned community members in our 14 county service area and provides the opportunity to make a difference and provide hope to the millions affected.
